What Does “Nondenominational” Mean?
The Naples Gathering is a nondenominational Christian church. Simply put, this means we are not formally affiliated with any specific Christian denomination. Instead, our focus is on following Jesus Christ and teaching the Bible as God’s Word, while welcoming people from many different church backgrounds — or from no church background at all.
Being nondenominational does not mean we lack beliefs or direction. Rather, it means we seek to center our faith on the essentials of Christianity: loving God, loving people, growing spiritually, and serving our community. We believe in the authority of Scripture, the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit in everyday life.
You’ll often find that people at The Naples Gathering come from a wide variety of traditions — Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, and more. Some are lifelong believers, while others are exploring faith for the first time. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where everyone can feel comfortable asking questions, building relationships, and discovering what it means to walk with God.
As a nondenominational church, we value unity over labels. Rather than emphasizing denominational distinctions, we emphasize shared faith, authentic community, and practical teaching that connects biblical truth to daily life. Our worship style, ministries, and programs are designed to be accessible, meaningful, and relevant for today’s families and individuals.
We also believe church should feel like a place where you belong — not just a place you attend. Whether through worship services, small groups, Bible studies, youth activities, or outreach opportunities, we strive to help people grow in faith while forming genuine connections with one another.
At The Naples Gathering, you don’t need to have everything figured out to be here. You’re welcome just as you are. Our hope is that you’ll find encouragement, friendship, and a supportive spiritual home as we journey together in faith.
